Discover the relaxing and creative art of slow stitching in this hands-on workshop, perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike.
Slow stitching is all about taking your time – layering and collaging beautiful pieces of fabric together using simple hand stitches, before adding colour, texture and detail through thread painting. Instead of using paint and a brush, you’ll use colourful threads to create flowers, objects and designs across your fabric.
There are no rules and no experience is needed – just bring your creativity and enjoy the process!
Your workshop includes a beautiful take-home kit packed with everything you need, including fabrics, needles, threaders, scissors, colourful threads, hand-dyed wools and laces, doilies and other embellishments. There will also be plenty of extra materials available on the day to inspire your creation.
Slow stitching is wonderfully relaxing, easy to continue at home and a lovely skill for creating unique handmade gifts.
