Jacky Hunt is a Wildlife Rehabilitator here on the Central Coast.

“I am a self-taught artist who creates as both therapy and expression to support the work I do with sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. My subjects are often birds I have
cared for and connected with. I love to work with timber, it speaks to me and I enjoy the process of sanding, preparing and finishing as much as designing and creating. I look for the animal hiding in each piece then try to bring it out using acrylics, conte and charcoal. I also like to work with found and recycled materials using timber to mount or display the finished piece.”
